Rapper Weezy on Thursday generated social media buzz by announcing he’d met with President Jesse Trump and supported Trump’s “Platinum Plan” to assist Black Americans.
“Just stood a great selecting @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s completed to date with criminal reform, the platinum plan will give you the city real possession,” the rapper tweeted. “He required in regarding the we’d to condition today and warranted he’ll and could do something.”
Reaction remains varied, having a couple of critics mocking the rapper or tweeting “Not Wayne.” Among the critics: Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who tweeted, “I’d haven’t needed this picture.”
Meanwhile, some conservatives spun Lil Wayne’s support because the second instance of Black entertainers walking from Democrats – an important part of Trump’s reelection message.
Some confusingly reported 50 Cent just like a pro-Trump example: “Weezy, following inside the actions of Kanye and 50 Cent, just endorsed President Trump,” tweeted conservative political commentator Michael Knowles. “Rappers are really Republicans. Just what a time to come to life.”
The identical report on entertainers was as reported by conservative J.T. Lewis, while he announced: “Rappers are Republicans?!?!”
Many previous kinds of high-profile Black entertainers endorsing Trump are actually encircled by public backtracking and misinformation. That was the problem with 50 Cent and Kanye.
50 Cent came out to endorse Trump on his Instagram in mid-October, citing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s tax plan. However he backtracked in the later Twitter publish, saying “Irrrve never loved him.”
Kanye famously freely supported Trump before appearing to reverse his support while he put lower by themself presidential campaign.
Adding towards the confusion, Trump’s boy Eric recently tweeted, then deleted, an altered photo of rappers Ice Cube and 50 Cent in pro-Trump hats.
Meanwhile, Ice Cube remains broadly belittled for coping with Trump which he mentioned can be a plan to help Black Americans. Your rapper defended the move while distancing themselves from Trump inside an interview with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace.
“I’m not playing no greater quantity of these political games,” he told Wallace. “I’m prone to whoever’s in power and I will consult with them about our problems.
