Legendary Auburn coach Pat Dye tests positive for COVID-19, is hospitalized
AUBURN, Ala. - Legendary Auburn football coach Pat Dye lately tested positive for COVID-19 and it has since been hospitalized because of ongoing kidney problems, based on an e-mail delivered to people from the Toccoa U . s . Methodist Church in Toccoa, Georgia.
"Please come along in praying for and lifting up Jayne Snell's brother, Pat Dye," the e-mail read. "Jayne states he's very weak, and it is experiencing appetite loss and confusion."
Dye, 80, is regarded as among the finest coaches in Auburn football history, otherwise the finest.
