Jason Blum, a prolific producer and film studio executive, was born on October 3, 1967 in West Los Angeles, California. He is the eldest of three children. Jason Blum’s parents are both from Jewish families and his father is an attorney.
Blum attended Beverly Hills High School before enrolling at UCLA. While at UCLA, he met future business partner Harvey Weinstein who was also a student there. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in political science in 1991, Jason Blum began working as an intern for Miramax Films where he met his future wife Rhea Perlman. They married in 1993 and together they have three children: Violet (born 1994), Samuel (born 1998), and Jacob (born 2002).
