June 15, 2022 is the "deadline" for Microsoft to stop supporting most versions of Internet Explorer. IE retirement is not the same as death. Slowly but relentlessly, Microsoft has been pushing users to abandon IE and switch to Microsoft Explorer. In Windows 11, released in October 2021, Microsoft Edge replaced IE as the default browser.
