South African anti-apartheid activist Denis Goldberg has died at his home near Cape Town, aged 87.
Mr. Goldberg would be a prominent person in the now-ruling African National Congress and was trial alongside Nelson Mandela. He spent 22 years imprisonment for his participation using the ANC’s combat apartheid, the racist system of oppression enforced through the white-colored minority government.
When his fellow accused were delivered to Robben Island, like a white-colored prisoner Mr. Goldberg was separated from their store and imprisoned within the capital, Pretoria.
